Since 1 August, Swisscoding has been delighted to welcome a new expert to its team: Sebastian Pabst, who has joined the company as a medical coding specialist.
A recognised professional in the field of medical coding, Sebastian has significant experience gained in leading hospitals. Before joining Swisscoding, he worked as a medical coder at Spital Thurgau, where his responsibilities included coding inpatient cases, statistical analysis, clinical reporting and monitoring hospital quality indicators. Prior to that, he also worked at the Kantonsspital St. Gallen, where he was involved in all coding activities and in the training of medical and nursing staff.
His career path has been particularly varied, as, before specialising in medical coding, Sebastian worked for many years as a qualified nurse and paramedic. This experience gives him an in-depth understanding of the clinical and organisational realities of healthcare organisations.
At Swisscoding, Sebastian will be putting his expertise to work for several hospitals in German-speaking Switzerland. His experience in DRG coding, quality control, clinical documentation and data analysis will help strengthen the support we provide to our partner organisations.
